Finally Microsoft has disclosed several features regardina windows 8 in its BuildWindows Conference which is going on at California. They talked about the various features of windows 8 like performance, support, apps where the key developments are happening in Windows 8.
Key Features of Windows 8
- Windows 8 boots up in less than eight seconds (the footprint at the time of boot up is just 210 MB).
- Internet Explorer 10 with huge app support.
- Windows 8 introduces a new Metro style kind of interface called the “Metro UI”.
- Works on Desktops, Laptops & Tablets.
- Supports USB 3.0 and Hyper-V.
Minimum System Requirements for Windows 8
- 1 GHz processor
- 1 GB RAM for 32-bit & 2 GB RAM for 64-bit.
- 16 GB free space for 32-bit & 20 GB for 64-bit .
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
