You can now receive mail alerts on your mobile phone from your gmail, yahoo, and other mail providers. To activate this service you need to have follow simple steps.
1) Create an account at way2sms.com ( If you already have it then its fine, no need to create a new account )
2) Log in to your account receive mail alerts on your mobile for free
3) Click on the Mail Alerts tab
4) Copy your way2sms email ID
5) Make modifications if you want.
6) Go to your gmail account and login
7) click on settings & then click on ‘FORWARDING/POP/IMAP’ option
8 ) Select ‘Forward a copy of incoming mail to” option & Enter your Way2SMS Email ID
9) Gmail sends a verification code to your Way2SMS Email ID
10) Check your Gmail confirmation code from adjacent Inbox tab Or You will receive gmail confirmation mail alert on your mobile with subject line containing confirmation code.
11) Copy and paste the verification code in Gmail verification box.Click On Verfy.
12) Finished. You will now receive alerts for every incoming mail that arrives in your gmail id( You can filter alerts by choosing which emails you want to alert, and when you want to receive them ).
