It get very frustrating to work with a slow running computer. So have you ever thought that would have been the reason for your slow running computer. If you haven’t then I am going to tell you some of the causes that causes your computer to run slow

By some of the problems discussed above, you would have made out what problem is there out with your computer. Some are quiet easy to resolve and some will need some guidance. So I will describe the solution of each and every problem here onwards.

Solutions

First and foremost thing Reboot your computer once if it has not been rebooted from long time.

To much of corrupt Data

For this problem you need to have registry cleaner software on to your computer that will make your work easy for you. The registry cleaner software that I will suggest you are Ccleaner and Tune up utilities.

Not enough hard disk space

Y ou yourself know the solution of this problem. The Operating system uses some part of your hard disk as a cache memory so it is necessary to for you to have ample amount of free space so that there is no shortage of available space. Try to waken up the space but if you cant you can try Disk Cleanup to run disk cleanup go to Start > then accessories > System tools > disk cleanup this will cleanup your disk for the broken files and get free space for you.

Over heating of computer

Make sure that your computer does not heat up regularly. Heating can decrease your computer performance. Even processor work slower to compensate the heat issue.

Old hardware

Old hardware is one of the issue that is responsible for slow computer. You keep on upgrading the software but does not upgrade your hardware. Latest software have higher requirement wich your computer is not able to fulfil and your computer works slow. So to prevent this you need to mainly upgrade the processor and RAM.

Corrupt OS

It could be the one of the biggest reasons for your slow running computer. For working of a OS properly each and ever files of the OS are important if it happens that the particular file whose requirement is must is missing this could result in process failure and can result in slow running of a computer. To replace the missing files you need to repair your Operating system.

Outdated Drivers

Make sure you keep you system drivers up to date. Updating ur drivers can help you to recover the problem of slow running computer.

Too much of software installed

Installing excessive softwares without any need can also result in slow running computer. Sometimes the softwares get activated itself and utilise the processor which result in slowing of the speed.

Auto run software

There are many softwares that get activated by themselves and use the processor. This result in slowing of the computer speed . To see what programs are running in the background and how much memory and CPU they are using open Task Manager.  If you are running Windows 7 run Resmon to get a better understanding of how your computer is being used.

If you’ve got an anti-virus scanner on the computer, spyware protection program, or other security utility make sure it’s not scanning your computer in the background. Often when these programs begin to scan the computer it can decrease the overall performance of your computer.

More than one antivirus installed

Never ever install two antivirus together this can result in clash of two antivirus with each other and can slow down your computer speed. If you still want to try two antivirus together then deactivate one of the antivirus so that only one antivirus active. There are some properties according to which antivirus finda a virus files sometimes some of the qualities of the virus and antivirus are same so if you have two antivirus one antivirus will consider other antivirus as virus and try to take required actions.

Other Solutions

If still your computer doesn’t work properly then try some of the following tricks.

Restore your computer to earlier date

Try to restore your computer to earlier dates when your computer was working fine. Restoring your computer to earlier dates may take your computer settings to earlier time and this could resolve the problem.

Use the latest or up to date antivirus

Mostly these are the viruses that slow down your computer speed by corrupting computer files so you need to get rid of them. I would recommend you to download the free trial version of any antivirus you like and run a complete scan. Many a times this procedure solves the problem.
